Library Director: Kelly Henkle

It's my pleasure to serve as Library Director of the Vinton Public Library.  I graduated summa cum laude from Drake University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Math and English.  I earned my Master of Health Science from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and have over 10 years of experience working in healthcare administration and information technology.  I'm in my fourth year as Library Director and earned my Silver Director Endorsement through the State Library of Iowa.  I am currently serving as President of the Benton County Library Association.  My favorite books are those that deepen my empathy and eloquently capture the human experience.  I am proud of our library and our broad array of events for patrons of all ages and backgrounds.  I am a wife and mother of three, and enjoy reading, journaling, baking and spending time with my family.  The next time you visit our library, be sure to stop in and say hello!
