For Parents & Caregivers

tina-floersch-CcbnSarTldQ-unsplash.jpgEarly childhood is a time of exploration and vast opportunities for children to learn about the world around them. At Vinton Public Library, our Children's collections and programs are curated and planned to help children and caregivers achieve the five practices of Every Child Ready to Read. The five practices include Talking, Singing, Reading, Writing, and Playing which are important to aim for every day.

While we strive to provide these crucial experiences for our youngest visitors, we recognize that it takes a village to raise a child. See the list of resources below for information about early childhood development and experiences, quality childcare, and beneficial learning opportunities.
